The self-legitimation and delegitimation of the power in the discourse of the 20 February Movement in Morocco: A Critical Discourse approach

In the Arab Spring the\udaim of the discursive practices was to\udgain access to political discourse in\udthe public sphere and media discourse\udor social networks. Consequently,\udthis use has been an important\udfactor and a key element in\udthe failure, success or continuation\udof the process of delegitimization of\udthe State apparatus by the social actors\udof these popular mobilizations.\udTaking the above background into\udconsideration, the aim of this paper\udis to analyse the discursive process\udof self-legitimation and delegitmation\udof the power in the discourse of the\ud20 February Movement in Morocco\ud(M20F). The theoretical framework in\udwhich frames the analysis of the process\udof legitimation, self-delegitimation\udand delegitimation in the discourses\udof the M20F is: i) the notion\udof discursive legitimation Van Dijk\udand Martin Rojo (1997), Van Dijk\ud(2003) and Chilton (2011), ii) the notion\udof context of Van Dijk, principally\udthat refers to the local and\udglobal context Van Dijk (1999) and\ud2003), and iii) the definition of discourse\udand discursive strategies notion\udfrom historical discursive approach\udWodak (1999, 2001, 2003\udand 2005).
